**Position Title: Academic Staff Member Barbering**

**Team: Academic Delivery and Development**

**Position Type: Fixed term (maternity cover), full time**

**Remuneration: $75,405 - $87,211 (Fixed remuneration excluding Kiwisaver)**

**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role**

This role involves teaching on our Barbering programmes. As an Academic Staff Member within this team you will be required to teach in the classroom and tutor ākonga; research, review and update resources and classroom materials; set and mark assignments and enter results; assist with the recruitment and care of ākonga; and actively participate in the team and school environment. Travel between campuses within the rohe may be required.

Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities

- Delivery of Barbering Programmes

- Providing leadership in student management

- Developing, planning and implementing student assessment, courses and resource material

- Monitoring student progress and results providing timely and accurate advice and support as required

- Planning and timetabling for the programme as well as assisting with recruitment

- Managing the training salons

**He kōrero mōu | About You**

You bring:

- National qualification in Barbering or equivalent

- A minimum of 5 years industry experience

- In depth experience and knowledge of the Barbering Industry

- Good computer literacy skills
