- Travel between Windermere (Tauranga) and Mokoia (Rotorua) campuses may be required

This position is for a ASM - Hairdressing in the Faculty of Business, Design and Service Industries. This role involves supporting Senior Kaiako on our Level 4 Hairdressing programme. As an Academic Staff Member within this team you will be required to assist and teach in the classroom and tutor students; research, review and update resources and classroom materials; mark assignments and enter results; assist with the recruitment and care of ākonga; and actively participate in the team and school environment.

Key to your success in this role will be your demonstrated ability to:

- Supporting senior Kaiako
- Delivery of Hairdressing Programmes
- Providing leadership in student management
- Developing, planning and implementing student assessment, courses and resource material
- Monitoring student progress and results providing timely and accurate advice and support as required
- Managing thew training salons

To be successful in this role you will have:

- National qualification in Hairdressing or equivalent
- A minimum of seven years industry experience
- In depth experience and knowledge of the Hairdressing Industry
- Good computer literacy skills
