We have a full-time, permanent vacancy for a Horticultural Ranger within a small team in Dunedin.

**The role**:

You will be part of a small team of passionate Kaitiaki working within Dunedin Parks and Reserves such as forests, wetlands, sand dunes and grasslands on revegetation and restoration projects including riparian planting, noxious weed control, native forest management, track construction and maintenance, community tree planting, with the opportunity to get involved with planning and monitoring.

**About you**:

- Has a current and clean drivers licence
- Experience in any of the following: Landscaping, Horticulture, Forestry, Ecology, Geography
- Has a good range of practical skills
- Competence with Line trimmers, chainsaws, ATV, 4x4 driving
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- The ability to work both in a team and independently
- Physically fit and keen to work outdoors

Qualifications such as Growsafe Certificates are desirable, however consideration will be given to applicants who have relevant experience and the required attributes above.
