Are you looking to grow your career in project planning and coordination? We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Investment Coordinator. This role offers a great opportunity to strengthen your skills in project planning and coordination and build experience in funding operations and stakeholder engagement.
You will be part of the Investment Operations team in the Science System Investment and Performance branch, working in partnership with fund teams to help deliver impactful science investment for Aotearoa New Zealand.

**What you'll be doing**:
- Lead timeline planning and coordination of science funding rounds.
- Support contract drafting, peer review, and execution in partnership with legal and fund teams.
- Collate requirements for configuring funding templates in the MBIE's online funding system, and assist with configuration and testing to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Provide contract administration services including processing contract variations.
- Prepare basic reports and analysis for planning, running and reviewing investment funding processes.
- Collaborate across teams to support operational delivery and continuous business improvements.
**Nga pukenga me nga wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required**
- 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in project planning and coordination or funding roles.
- Some foundation in broad project planning and coordination and business process support, with exposure to government processes, and funding operation and contracting areas considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with productivity software and proven ability to learn and navigate online systems, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be considered an advantage.
- Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within your team and across internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- A customer-focused mindset, with experience providing external customer service.
- Great attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, timeline planning, basic reporting, and contract-related tasks.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, suited to a range of audiences.
- A proactive, solutions-focused work style, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with ambiguity and change.
- Legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
**About the Science System Investment and Performance Branch**:
We develop, manage and assess scientific investments to meet New Zealand's economic, social and environmental goals.
We do this:
- through a portfolio approach, based on broad scientific knowledge within the branch, and the contribution of specialised expertise from the sector (e.g. through Panels and assessors).
- through sector stewardship, working as a credible partner and neutral broker within the sector and across government to facilitate discussions and identify opportunities.
- as a smart operator, with both scientific and government sector credibility, and the ability to marry these to find practical solutions.
- by being the expert on best practice and running efficient, clear processes.
