Senior Product Designer

We are looking for a visionary Senior Product Designer to join our Product team. Reporting to the Design Lead, you will be working closely with a Product Manager as well as our Engineering team and together you will own a part of Fuel50, ship solutions to challenging problems and get feedback directly from our customers.

Being successful in this role will see you work across the spectrum of product design, from quickly creating sketches and prototypes to shape solutions to problems, or running user research alongside your team’s product manager, to taking these insights through ideation into shipped product with your product development team. Specifically in this role using your vision to create prototypes and designs for new products and features will be key.

**Key Role Responsibilities**:

- Act as a leader within your product squad, collaborating to make your work and the whole team thrive.
- Bring your creative vision and SaaS experience and share your ideas for new product designs.
- Work through design problems from beginning to end, often partnering with designers on other teams to create holistic experiences.
- Sketch and prototype ideas to quickly assess viability and make design directions clear and concrete for the whole team, helping the team to make better decisions.
- Iterate your designs based on testing and feedback from our customers and from the whole team.
- Facilitate design-thinking and problem-solving within your Product Squad and between this team and the other product, go-to-market and customer success teams they partner with.
- Work closely with engineers as they build and ship ideas.
- Own the success or failure of your design work and initiate design sprints to innovate or improve upon shipped work.

**Requirements**:

- Experienced in designing digital products and systems, not just websites. You have helped ship digital products. SaaS experience ideal.
- Design connected modular systems, not just disparate user interfaces.
- Have a strong service design mentality and understand the broader landscape of the product and impact that your work can bring.
- Being able to prototype to learn and are comfortable choosing and using the right level of fidelity, from simple sketches to high-fidelity functional prototypes in Figma, Sketch, etc.
- Have a strong appreciation of the entire product development process, and can take a concept from a whiteboard sketch, through to a fully-realised user experience with detailed UI.
- You have the ability to create prototypes using Framer, Keynote, HTML/CSS/JS, etc.
- Strong understanding of quantitative data and are comfortable working alongside product managers and UX researchers in refining your design work.
- Excellent communicator of design work and the rationale behind proposals.
- You are adept at coordinating work across multiple teams and bringing together ideas from various stakeholder groups, both in and out of R&D.
