THE ROLE

Work in partnership with key leaders to manage and provide oversight of the Leisure Travel portfolios in A&NZ, and extending to Business Travel as required.

This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Auckland.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the execution of Travel strategies and work with relevant stakeholders to achieve the required business outcomes

Monitor production, profitability and other key metrics to ensure that the portfolios are performing as per expectations

Work closely with underwriting and actuarial teams to ensure key Travel actions are identified, communicated and implemented

Ensure all compliance, underwriting best practice, policy/procedures and guidelines are being adhered to across the Travel business

Determine appropriate distribution channels and products to achieve desired growth and profit objectives

Refreshing/upgrading existing products and the development of new products

Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure success

Attend client meetings as the technical specialist on performance and products

**Qualifications**:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

3+ years’ experience in Leisure Travel or Personal Lines underwriting is desirable

Portfolio Management - clear understanding of how decisions may impact performance

Product Development - drafting of policy wordings to clearly articulate underwriting intent

Ability to work independently with mínimal guidance; individual must be proactive in attaining results quickly and accurately

Must be a strong team player who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast pace environment

Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Proven analytical skills necessary to ensure portfolio is managed to deliver acceptable results

Demonstrated ability of developing underwriting staff, along with the ability to act as a mentor
