**Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms, a division of Fletcher Building Ltd, is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction.**

You will join our tight knit team of 12+ based in our large Penrose Distribution site which services Auckland metropolitan, regional & national customers with hundreds of deliveries of Mico products every day. Our staff are an integral part of our success and play a key role in providing the highest level of service to our customers.

Reporting through to the NZ Logistics Manager, we are seeking an experienced Distribution leader to head up the day-to-day activities of our Distribution Centre team, ensuring KPI’s and service levels are maintained to the highest standard and that we exceed customer expectations at all times.

**About the Role**:
This is a hands-on leadership role where your key focus will be to provide guidance and direction to the Distribution Centre team, with an emphasis on developing and driving efficiencies across all areas, and developing a culture within the Distribution Centre where our people are retained and developed. This will draw on your people management skills and ability to find continuous improvement opportunities to add value in all touch points. A high commitment to quality and doing things right the first time is something you will feel strongly about. With this in mind, your team will have targets designed to optimise work and continuously improve our level of customer service and cost efficiency.

**About You**:
We are looking for someone with strong people management skills and an operations background in logistics and distribution, with proven experience in leading a large, diverse team to achieve a common goal. In this regard, we are seeking a proven leader who has experience driving operational excellence across a diverse team, with Health and Safety practices at the core of the business. Other skills required:

- A certificate/diploma in Logistics, Warehousing, Operational Management or Supply Chain Management, or 10+ years’ experience working in a warehousing or similar logistics environment. You may already be a leader or someone with demonstrated leadership capability and looking for your next step up.
- Service-driven and solution-oriented approach with an aim to work strategically and proactively to add value on all touch points.
- Strong ability to achieve objectives by engaging other people and a collaborative approach to developing and leveraging networks and relationships.
- Be a switched-on problem solver comfortable at operating in a fast-moving and dynamic environment that requires resilience and decisiveness.
- Experience in implementing a new Warehouse Management System (SAP-EWM) would be a bonus

We are seeking someone that responds appropriately to difficult situations, people and ideas, who can effectively cope with change and who has experience developing plans, prioritising and scheduling work activities, inventory and distribution of goods. An understanding and experience in Project Management would be an advantage too.
