**Chapter Lead Test Engineering = Enterprise Application, Product Tribe**

As a Chapter Lead Test Engineering, you will architect, build, and maintain robust, maintainable test automation frameworks that support our Automation First principle. You will lead our Test Automation and Continuous testing efforts, working with DevOps engineers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and drive the adoption of automation first principles and continuous testing throughout the development lifecycle.

You will have the opportunity to mentor and coach other members of the testing organization, stay up to date with the latest developments in test automation, and build relationships with key senior management stakeholders. With strong software development skills, including experience with JavaScript and a solid understanding of software development principles and practices, you will have the opportunity to grow and advance your career within our dynamic and innovative team.

**About The Role**

As a Chapter Lead Test Engineering, you will have a strong background in software development, technical leadership, and experience as a developer, software engineer, or tech lead. You will be responsible for leading our Test Engineering Chapter and driving the adoption of automation first principles, continuous testing, and agile methodologies throughout the development lifecycle. Along the way you will be working on challenging, complex problems requiring collaboration and engineering effort to be successful in solving.

Key responsibilities:

- Work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Strong software development skills, including experience with JavaScript and a solid understanding of software development principles and practices
- Previous experience as a Developer, Tech Lead, Test Automation Architect, or similar role

You will be a technical expert, able to communicate simple and complex solutions to people at different levels and you have a desire to coach and support people to be future technical leaders.

- Proven record of working with BDD and TDD and can work alongside the software development team embedding best practice, quality focussed processes
- A proven record of overseeing the definition, selection and extension of test automation architecture, frameworks, coding standards, and Automation Testing Strategies

- Exposure to operational excellence in core disciplines and testing methods including Agile, DevOps and Waterfall as well as experience in automating, web, mobile, API, database as well as experience in BDD and TDD
- Experience with JavaScript and other coding languages
- Collaborating with development teams to drive the adoption of automation first principles and continuous testing throughout the development lifecycle
- Working with DevOps engineers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure that automated testing is included in the development process
- Identifying and prioritizing areas for automation, such as manual tests or user journeys, and leading the effort to automate them
- Providing guidance and mentoring to other members of the testing organization on best practices and standards for test automation
