Our customer is a multinational expert in providing power conversion solutions for industrial and commercial environments. With over 30 years in business, their solutions include in-house AC and DC products, designed and manufactured from their ISO9001 accredited facility, and a wide range of industry leading products from global supply partners.

We are now looking for a creative and organised Production Engineer to be a conduit between the Production Line and the rest of the departments in order to establish new production concepts, proactively find areas for improvement and find potentialsynergies.

Overall duties:

- Collaborate with the production team on specific projects.
- Suggest design changes to improve production capacity, productivity, product quality and efficiency.
- Redesign existing PCB and suggest improvements from the power electronics perspective.
- Proactively find and prioritize areas for improvement.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems in the technology.
- Internal project management.
- Suggest procedural and process improvements.
- Work with engineering and procurement to approve and introduce new or alternate suppliers or components.
- Maintain standards for operations and set up more efficient production routings.
- Provide manufacturing technical support.

In order to be successful in this role, you will ideally need:

- Qualification in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in product design. Electrical product design ideal but not necessary.
- Practical knowledge of machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Test Jigs design experience.
- Technical leadership experience.
