Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Intelligence Support Officer is the administrative and support role within the Corrections Intelligence function. The role supports intelligence staff in the four regions and National Office by providing data/information for intelligence products, meetings/panels and supporting the efficient running of the intelligence function.
As an Intelligence Support Officer, you will be responsible for data entry, maintenance and retrieval via the intelligence database, supporting intelligence officers and analysts with their work as required and managing and responding to Requests for Information from external agencies.
With pride in your work, you need to provide a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Integrity is key, maintaining confidentiality and discretion, whilst your ability to juggle tasks and communicate effectively to colleagues and external agencies alike provides a strong foundation in all that you do.
Ngā pūkenga e Kimi ana mātou | Skills we look for
- Experience in data entry and records management.
- Knowledge of Intelligence administrative processes, systems and technology.
- Ability to collate and present information to support preparation of core intelligence products and meetings/panels.
- An ability to show initiative when faced with new and unfamiliar tasks and persistence when faced with difficult and time-consuming tasks.
- Ability to respond to prompt and timely requests for information from external agencies and assistance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders in a professional and customer friendly manner.
- Must be capable of obtaining and must retain appropriate level of security clearance through NZIS vetting process.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary range is $49,708 - $57,306, the mid-point which indicates full competence in the role is $53,507. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
