Novotel New Plymouth Taranaki is New Plymouth's premier accommodation and hotel facility and is part of the global Accor hotel network. The hotel has 85 rooms, a restaurant - Haukai Bistro & Bar, a boardroom, a conference venue, and a gym.

We are currently recruiting a Front Office professional to join our amazing team as a Permanent Part-Time Night Auditor (Relief Night Duty Manager).

If you have previous experience as a Hotel Night Auditor, Hotel Night Duty Manager, have some Hotel Front Office experience or are currently completing a Hotel Management Qualification wanting to work 16-20 hours per week, then this is the opportunity for you. You will be required to work 2-night shifts between 22:30-06:30 per week, by yourself.
- Completing and maintaining the Night Audit process with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This includes the audit of daily activity of front office and food & beverage operations.
- Follow standard operating procedures and checklists
- The daily balancing of all financial transactions within the hotel
- Provide accurate and up to date financial and yield reports as directed
- General front desk duties including the check-in & check out of guests, taking and making reservations
- Ensuring ‘Service Excellence Every time’ when dealing with any guest requests or queries including organising rooms service.
- Responsible for overnight management of the hotel and its guests
- Responsible for the daily compilation and distribution of requested reports to department heads
- Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of foyer, front desk area, and the front of the building
- Assisting in the setup of the breakfast buffet
- Preparation of items on the night room service menu
- Any additional tasks that may be set from time to time by Management
- Follow all the health and safety procedures
- Guest transport services to and from the airport

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a Hotel Front Office environment with exposure or experience in Night Audit and Duty Management will be ideal
- Solid organizational skills with an attention to detail in tasks performed
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- You are a self-motivated person
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- OPERA Property Management System knowledge
- Excellent presentation and grooming
- Reliable, Punctual, and Respectful
- Can-do Attitude
- A current 1st Aid & General Manager's certificate will be an advantage
- MUST have a full NZ driver’s license
- Eligibility to work in NZ (citizen, resident, or work visa)
