**About the role**

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Technical Lead to join our Starting Materials team based in Manurewa. The Quality Control team supports our manufacturing business to ensure all incoming materials and finished products are tested to meet the highest level of quality standards and business requirements.

This role is critical to the success of the Starting Materials team and is seen as the 2IC for the team’s supervisor. No two days are the same, but your overall responsibilities will include:

- Supporting analysts through technical expertise and training.
- Analytical testing as required.
- Manage starting materials testing & releasing to meet production plan.
- Laboratory investigations, CAPA closure and documentation updates.
- Validation activities, pharmacopeia updates and method reviews.
- Role modelling for health and safety and GMP compliance.
- Continuous Improvement Project Management.

**About you**

We are looking for someone who would be described as having excellent technical knowledge in the field of chemistry while also a people-person; helping others comes as second nature.

**Your toolkit will also include**:

- Relevant tertiary science qualification
- Work experience within a GMP science manufacturing environment focusing in Starting Material testing
- Strong people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with people within the teams.
- Communication skills paired with patience that enable you to impart knowledge to others
- Ability to be flexible, multitask and manage your time effectively
