**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We know that when Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) are well-supported to grow and develop their skills they are better able to meet the diverse needs of their patients and contribute positively to the overall health and well-being of their communities.

Join our newly established Resident Doctors Support Service (RDSS) team where you will have the opportunity to make a difference to the future medical workforce of Health NZ - our Resident Medical Officers.

Our team is working to achieve the vision for our RMOs - “to support the efficient delivery of a well, well trained medical workforce for today and into the future”. Our small national team is supported with a strong network of local RMO units who deliver support services to the Resident Medical Officers in our health system.

Join us during an exciting phase where we will be working collectively on initiatives and programmes to transform and continually improve the experience for RMOs and enhance their wellbeing and support them to continue to provide optimal care to our whanau and communities.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Experience developing options and provide advice, particularly in complex or contentious policy, specialist or technical projects.
- Knowledge of Resident Doctor or Medical workforce environment, training and employment settings.
- Previous responsibility at a leadership level for developing, maintaining and influencing mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships. Demonstrates willingness, and ability, to build constructive/effective relationships with other teams and partners to enable and assist with the delivery of pieces of work - minimum 7 years_._
