**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
The Business Architect will act as a trusted advisor and will be responsible for leading providing technology advice and reviewing of systems capability strategy to meet MBIE’s strategic direction and adopt a business-like and customer centric culture.
In this role, you will be working in partnerships with the Chief Technology Officer and other key stakeholders including the Domain and Solutions Architects. You will be establishing business objectives, developing feasible feasibility studies; producing high level business models and contributing to business cases to ensure the strategies and roadmaps influence and drive the adoption of innovative ways of working and invigorate information and data capability for MBIE.
You will also take a holistic approach in building a robust technology-based strategies that will transform and optimise existing and new digital services and underlying platforms. You will be responsible for collecting and deliver information to enable analysis, design and development of roadmaps and blueprint through a cohesive architecture viewpoint.

**Key requirements of the role include**:

- Proven experience and knowledge in ICT environment, business practice and system
- Previous experience as an Architect in a complex environment
- Have a strong experience and achievement in a Senior Strategic Architecture environment
- Lead a cross functional team to shape work programmes and facilitate design of training and guidance to enable growth in people data, information, and digital capability.
- The ability to act as a liaison between stakeholders, delivering feedback to the team and empowering them to build continuous review and improvement.
- The ability to provide innovative solutions and adopt creative new approaches.
