We are currently seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and energetic Project Director/Associate Director, to join our Christchurch based team. Your role will include supporting our continuing growth and making the difference to both our business and to the New Zealand construction sector.
You will be Associate Director within our New Zealand Real Estate business working on a variety of projects in the education, health and high tech sectors.
**Job Description**:
- Contributing to our achievement of Turner & Townsend’s global vision
- Establishing friendly and professional relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we deliver
- Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies
- Delivering clear and concise reporting to clients to provide visibility on project status, risks and issues, and allow our clients to make timely and informed decisions
- Pro-actively monitoring and managing risks and issues, with a focus on achieving great outcomes for our clients.
- Managing and collaborating with client, consultant and contractor teams to manage the achievement of project deliverables
- Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice
- Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders
- Leading people and commissions as needed
- Supporting and driving business development opportunities
**Qualifications**:
- A proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
- Professionally qualified or working towards
- Relevant degree qualification
- 15 years plus experience
- Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
- Utilising digital software for delivery of cost management services
- Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
- Excellent people person and great communicator, both client facing and team based
