SH1 Papakura to Drury Stage 1B (Stage 1B) is part of a staged upgrade to improve SH1 and adjacent multi modal travel reliability, access, and safety. Stage 1B ties into Stage1A, NIMT Bridges, and completes a combined 6km of three laned SH1 in both directions, six new motorway bridges and multiple interfacing local roads, over motorway bridges, Shared User Paths (SUPs) and upgraded utilities.

We are on the lookout for a Supervisor in the heavy civils and structures space to join the team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-performance, innovative and quality-based environment with some of the best in the industry, then this is the role for you.

What you will be doing
- Managing day to day activities of your crews
- Review drawings, work method statements and specifications to ensure efficient use of appropriate resources
- Identify and implement site requirements; plant bookings, traffic management, site security, etc.
- Resolve problems and implement improvements
- Positively promote and incorporate Health and Safety policies on all aspects of work
- Encourage continuous development of your team through supervision and education
- Maintain site records in accordance with project requirements
- Inspect site and plant to ensure compliance with relevant protocols is maintained
- Fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with:

- 5+ years’ experience in a Supervisor role supervising large heavy civils projects across New Zealand
- A non-compromising attitude towards a safe and tidy site.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A solutions focused approach.
- Natural leadership abilities who encourages their team to have a continuous improvement attitude.
- The ability to mediate to resolve issues swiftly and calmly.
- A track record of delivery of high-quality standards personally and within project teams.
