**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**

A great opportunity is available to join a diverse and committed team of 8 staff as our Rates Team Leader. This role is responsible for leading our daily ratings operations with the support of two rates officers, our wider team and manager. Key responsibilities include:

- Management of rating information and databases
- Liaising with external stakeholders, territorial authorities and service providers
- Delivery of exceptional customer service to our community

**Ko wai koe | About you**
If you are an adaptable, positive team player who enjoys a challenge, developing skills or learning new ones, then this could be the role for you. We are looking for a courageous people leader who has the following:

- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with accounts receivable, debt management and database management
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills - proficiency with the Microsoft suite of software
- Strong knowledge of Capital Value rating systems and differential rating
- Strong knowledge of Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 and the Rates Rebate Act 1973 would be an advantage.
