No two days are the same. - We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Transformation Manager to join our Digital, Data & Analytics (DD&A) team. - Mō te Tūranga | About the Role - As a Digital Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of specific initiatives that sit under the Digital Modernisation programme and BNZ’s wider digital transformation agenda, ensuring the timely implementation of agreed initiatives and outcomes for the benefit of BNZ’s customers and colleagues. - We sat down with the GM - Digital Channels and they told us the following about the role: - What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?- Work with stakeholders to deliver effective change to process and policy and implement across technology and enterprise in line with strategic direction set by the Digital Transformation Lead and GM Digital Channels.- Focus on the delivery of the bank’s digital modernisation and transformation roadmap.- Be accountable for the delivery of specific initiatives that sit under the Digital Modernisation programme, including engaging with enterprise change, risk, distribution, operations and technology stakeholders and processes.- Interact with enterprise-wide stakeholders on a regular basis to identify, problem solve and escalate programme-wide issues.- Produce documents to facilitate decision making and spread understanding and awareness of the digital transformation agenda. - What is the team culture and environment like? - The Digital Channels team is a small, effective team that operates at the intersection of business, technology, and support functions, enabling collaboration and alignment across the bank. There are many in the team with deep knowledge of BNZs channels and services and wide bank networks. Thanks to our small size we operate with a relaxed hierarchy and an open communication style. We are spread across Auckland and Wellington. - We are embarking upon a multi-year programme of digital transformation and modernisation and the Digital Transformation Manager will take accountability for some of the initiatives being delivered as part of the programme and wider digital transformation agenda. The programme is made up of various workstreams and a wide range of back end and front-end change. The Digital Transformation Manager advocates for the overall impact on the customer experience and ensuring effective change management and delivery via the enterprise-wide processes and practices, reporting to the Digital Transformation Lead. - What technical skills / skills are REQUIRED for this role?- Demonstrable experience delivering cross organisational change/continuous improvement efforts across a customer experience (could be business functions or Technology).- Strategic and critical thinking ability, with experience in change management.- Proven track record in stakeholder management, including driving timelines for others’ inputs.- Advanced written skills and communication, including the preparation of written briefings to senior leaders.- Able to present effectively in a range of business settings. - What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?- Able to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, including to executive stakeholders.- Relationship and stakeholder management skills.- Confident and proven decision-making skills. - Nau Mai ki te Pēke o Aotearoa | Come to the Bank of New Zealand - Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini" - Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many.”_ Closing Date: 28 July 2025
