**The Opportunity**

Our client is a well-respected, full service law firm in Auckland's CBD. They are now looking for an experienced lawyer to join their Employment team.

You will be working with leaders in their field and for a range of clients on the full spectrum of employment and health and safety related matters. The scope of work is varied, interesting and you will have enjoy significant client exposure (acting for both the employer and employee). You will be joining a busy and well-resourced team known for its responsiveness and practical approach. They assist with all employment relationship problems concerned with employer and employee rights, personal grievances, disputes and litigation. They also help with collective bargaining and union issues; unjustified dismissal; redundancy; bullying, harassment and discrimination claims; and disciplinary and performance management processes. They provide legal representation for Health and Safety at work, including compliance and defending prosecutions and regularly represent clients at mediation, in the Employment Relations Authority and in the Employment Court.

**The Ideal You**:

- A NZ qualified solicitor with ideally 4-8 years' experience (more or less)
- Some previous experience in employment law matters (contentious and/or non-contentious) is preferable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A practical, solutions-focussed approach
