Right now, we are seeking a Corporate Records and Privacy Officer to join the support services team. The role is an enabling function for the effective delivery of health and disability services to the people of South Canterbury, including, hospital-based and community services.

Reporting to the director of corporate services this role ensures record and information compliance is maintained, responds to patient and client requests for information and ensures all staff are aware of their responsibilities regarding privacy and records. The role also manages and monitors the audit process in relation to public records and privacy acts and associated mandatory record keeping standards.

The ideal person will have the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines along with the ability to interpret a variety of legislative requirements and convey simply to others.

Other factors that will contribute to success in this role includes;
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Be aware of cultural differences and act accordingly
- Create and maintain relationships, internally and externally
- Be committed to a culture of continuous improvement
