We are currently looking for experienced Support Workers to work with our client based in Papatoetoe. Due to the intimate nature of the cares, we are looking for someone who has prior experience in a hospital environment and with children. Our client has intellectual disabilities, development delay, abnormal neurodevelopment and vision disorder. Due to the complexity of the cares, commitment to the shifts is vital.
This is a role where no two days are the same. You will have the ability to work one on one with our clients, to ensure they live their best life possible.
**Requirements**:
- Competency in emergency management
- Competency with Paediatrics.
- Competency with development therapies.
- Child specific First Aid
- Training will be provided.
- Assisting clients with personal cares.
- Confident to handle cares independently.
- Must have a clean and valid NZ driving licence.
- Must be eligible to work in NZ.
- Subject to clean police clearance check.
- Able to commit to the shifts.
**Tasks**:
- Bathing, feeding & developmental therapies.
- Mobility, positioning, grooming, and home help.
**Shifts**:
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM & 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- with an opportunity to pick up more shifts.
