**Job Description**:
**He aha tau mahi? - What will you do?**

We're looking for an experienced _Health and Safety Manager_ to manage and lead the the health and safety team. Reporting to the GM, People, Safety and Sustainability (PSS), this newly created senior position will be responsible for developing the H&S strategy and ensuring that the processes, programmes and systems are delivered. This role is also responsible for all H&S relationship outcomes with key contracts, franchises, and oversees the H&S relationships within the business.

We are looking for an innovative strategic thinker to join the team in either Bell Block, Wellington or Christchurch. A taste of what you can expect to do:

- Develop a clear and measurable H&S strategy that is shared and endorsed across the business.
- Develop key H&S performance measures for the Company and service providers to enable tracking of performance against the annual strategy and road maps.
- Regularly report and present to the Board and Executive Team on key initiatives, progress and direction.
- Lead, coach and support a high performing team that successfully contributes to delivering FGG’s strategic responsibilities.
- Contribute as a member of the PSS Leadership Team.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in health and safety, or related discipline.
- 7+ years’ experience in H&S leadership roles
- Track record of coaching and supporting people both within team, and more widely across business.
- Experience providing sound and pragmatic H&S advice to mitigate risks and costs
- Exceptional relationship building skills
- Experience driving change and process improvement
