The BNZ Properties Tīma (Team) designs, builds and maintains all BNZ Properties so that BNZers can serve our customers brilliantly. The tīma is full steam ahead with major corporate office projects underway in Wellington and Auckland and the start this month of the most comprehensive retail refresh project that the BNZ has seen in 15 years. The retail Points of Presence project will run for five more years and will deliver a network of modern, environmentally sustainable and smart workspaces for BNZ and its customers.

The National Facilities Coordinator will be essential in keeping BNZ buildings working for BNZers and guiding our broad range of vendors, contractors service providers to deliver a 'frictionless' and environmentally responsible working environment for BNZers. You will be the hub that coordinates the work of our Colliers, DX-Mail and more than 50 other service providers that design, build and maintain our BNZ workplaces. No two working days will be the same.

The BNZ Properties tīma deliver the practical work of designing and delivering excellent workspaces. If you enjoy seeing a practical demonstration of your work at the end of the day, this job is ideal for you.

You will engage with people across all of BNZ and deliver better working environments for them through a wide range of projects. You will lead the sustainability certification and initiatives programme for BNZ Properties and BNZ Vehicles, including the opportunity to champion your own initiatives.

**This is a 9-month fixed-term opportunity. It is an Auckland based hybrid tūranga working three days in the office, with the anchor day being Monday.**

**Mō te Tūranga | About the tūranga**

**What are the day-to-day tasks the person will complete?**
- Coordination of our service providers. The National Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the organisation and performance delivery of our key contractors.
- Contractor Performance Management - to improve the performance of BNZ service providers the National Facilities Coordinator monitors contractor service levels, costs, and contract compliance. This information goes directly to providing better service to BNZ.
- Project Management - The complex changes and initiatives delivered by BNZ Properties are organised as projects. The Facilities Coordinator's skills as an organiser are key to delivering many projects each year.
- Management and achievement of our operational sustainability initiatives. The BNZ currently holds the Toitu Diamond certification for operational sustainability. This is the highest level of certification against this standard. The National Facilities Coordinator leads the reporting and initiatives that contribute to retaining this standard.
- BNZ Engagement - BNZ Properties encourage workplace engagement through a range of staff offerings and events. The National Facilities Coordinator initiates and coordinates many of these events.
- The 80 Queen Street Corporate refit.
- The Points of Presence Programme - supporting the uplift and improvement across our portfolio.
- Delivery of the BNZ Planned and Reactive Maintenance Programme.
- The BNZ Environmental Sustainability Programme.
- Contract tenders, tender evaluations and negotiation.
- Continuous review and improvement of current processes and services.

- Programme Management - able to design, set up, run and adjust programmes of work.
- Research savvy - Property is a highly regulated industry with a wide range of potential solutions. When confronted with a unique problem, the successful applicant will need to be able to quickly research the relevant regulations, processes and background to find a solution.
- Communication - able to consult with stakeholders and communicate over a wide range of media.
