**Mō te tūnga | About the Role**
Join the Kōrure Whānau team at **Te Whānau o Waipareira** and stand with whānau as they secure safe, stable homes and reclaim their mana motuhake. As a **Housing Kaiārahi**, you’ll walk alongside whānau who face complex housing challenges. You’ll help them shape their own pathways to sustainable housing, linking them with wrap-around services, setting meaningful goals, and advocating for their needs.
Your mahi will go beyond finding a roof—it’s about fostering resilience, restoring confidence, and creating lasting change for whānau in West Auckland.
**Ngā kawebga | What You’ll Be Doing**
- Supporting whānau to maintain and strengthen their tenancy
- Completing holistic assessments and building tailored whānau plans
- Connecting whānau with health, social, legal, and housing services
- Managing referrals from internal teams and external providers
- Supporting Kōrure Whānau projects and community initiatives
- Ensuring clear, timely reporting in line with Whānau Ora values
- Maintaining safety, dignity, and cultural integrity in all interactions
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | What You’ll Bring**
- At least **2 years’** experience supporting whānau or communities
- Strong understanding of tenancy issues, wellbeing, and whānau resilience
- A qualification in health, social work, or related fields (preferred)
- Confidence in Te Reo Māori me ngā Tikanga Māori (highly valued)
- Local knowledge of West Auckland community and service networks
- Excellent communication, planning and coordination skills
- A full, clean **NZ driver’s licence**
