Production and Manufacturing Manager

**Evergreen Modular Limited (Part of the Property Partners Group) aims to become a leader in solving New Zealand's housing shortage by using world-leading technology to enable off-site manufacturing of affordable and environmentally friendly apartment buildings.**
We are working closely with our established key client base of Government and Commercial stakeholders to revolutionise how buildings are constructed in NZ, Evergreen Modular has developed a fit-for-purpose factory, bought together a close-knit -team culture and is on its way to fine-tuning its systems and processes incorporating Lean and Takt Time principles to become a world-class offsite manufacturing facility of architecturally designed environmentally responsible apartment buildings, and we are not done yet.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure production flow seamlessly across multi-manufacturing workstations. You will mentor and have courageous conversations with the team leaders so they can do the same with their teams. Through your experience, you will already know what ‘best practice’ looks like. You will see the opportunities in the current environment, challenge the status quo and implement trialled and tested systems and processes.
**Some of your responsibilities include**:
- Provide overall direction and vision for the manufacturing site.
- Work with the team to develop and maximise the production flow
- Plan future manufacturing programs to obtain maximum value from production resources
- Lead and develop a lean manufacturing culture to gain continual process improvements across all production lines at the site
- Build and maintain a strong team environment with high-performance culture; lead, coach, develop and direct the production teams
- Ensure people management processes are implemented - performance management, development plans & succession planning.
- Identifying and encouraging the team to identify improvements
- Create/improve management control systems, review performance and overcome performance-limiting issues.
- Proactively manage H&S, further strengthening the culture and attitude towards a safe working environment.
**About you**
- At least 10 years of relevant employment experience in a production or manufacturing management role
- Experience in leading teams and managing others effectively
- Process control experience within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work unsupervised and set high standards of performance
- Mobilise people through effective communication, encouragement of teamwork, participation and responsibility
- Experience implementing Takt Time and Lean Manufacturing principled processes and guiding others to adopt such strategies
- Solution-focused attributes.

**Salary**: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
