**Warehouse Team Leader**

Port Otago Group’s business comprises a regional container terminal, bulk port activities, cruise and property investment and development. As a Warehouse Team Leader predominantly based at our Dunedin Coldstore, you will be responsible for assisting in ensuring the delivery of safe operations to meet excellent customer service for best practice storage, receipt, and delivery of product. You will also assist in the delivery of operational excellence, safety, and process improvements.

On top of all that, day to day you will be in charge of leading start of shift toolbox talks, assisting in labour allocation and resources, and jumping in helping the team operating a forklift as required.

Ideally you will have experience in managing and leading a small team coupled with previous warehouse experience. Excellent Computer literacy skills are a must, as are first-rate communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Some of the qualities we are looking for**:

- A true passion for Health & Safety - you will need to lead your team to ensure a high level of Health and Safety culture
- A current full driver’s license with F(Forklift) Endorsement
- Proven experience in a logistics and supply chain environment
- Lead by example and motivate others
- Excellent communication and team building skills
- Strong organisation skills with ability to multi-task and to also plan ahead and forecast.

It is important to note that we have four warehouses within our Supply Chain Division - Port Chalmers, Sawyers Bay, Mosgiel and Dunedin Cold Stores, therefore you need to be prepared to work across any of these sites as required reporting to the relevant Warehouse Supervisor or Manager as required.
