We are looking for an experienced Inwards Goods operator to join our team.

This is an opportunity for someone who has forklift operation experience in a stockroom or warehouse environment.

You will be responsible for actively and accurately managing the receipting and movement of inwards goods for the site, including the timely unloading of deliveries.

Our storeroom is a pretty busy place. Every single delivery comes through the Storeroom so it can be put on shelf for our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Unloading deliveries (forklift experience and license required)
- Goods receipting and scanning-in all incoming goods using handheld devices
- Delivering to correct departments
- Verifying what is on the packing slip matches what we actually received
- Organise and manage proper storage and handling procedures to maintain the quality of goods
- Maintaining a tidy and well-organised storeroom and inward goods area
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline the flow of goods
- Collaborate with the management team to contribute to the overall success of the supermarket
- Meeting Food Safety Inwards Goods policies and Food Safety procedures.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Current Forklift Licence with F endorsement
- Reasonable level of fitness is required as heavy lifting, repetitive actions and continuous standing are part of this role.
- Previous experience in a grocery or warehousing environment
- High level of attention to detail and proven time management skills
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Reliable, organised and have a can-do attitude.

**Personal attributes required are**:

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with a team
- Ability to multi-task and complete tasks within the required timeframes
- A positive work ethic and attitude

This is a full-time position of 40-45 hours per week, with the days of work being Tuesday - Saturday, with early morning starts. Hours of work will be discussed at an interview.

Overseas applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency or a Valid New Zealand Work Permit.
