**Position** Food & Beverage Supervisor

**Reports to** Food & Beverage Manager /Restaurant Manager

**Main Purpose of the Job**

To ensure the efficient running of the Food and Beverage outlets to obtain customer satisfaction while meeting the departmental budget and also sales.

**Key Duties**
- Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service and experience is provided to all guests and patrons in an environment they feel meets their expectations
- Ensure all guest requests and complaints are courteously and efficiently handled, refer to the Food & Beverage Manager if necessary and log and advise Manager and Front Office Assistant Manager of all guest comments and complaints.
- Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met utilising Heartist Principals
- To liaise with the kitchen and other departments on a daily basis to ensure all guest requirements are met.
- Ensure that staff and supervisor check the food gong to a guest and that is up to standard.
- To ensure beverage and food par stock levels are maintained at all times and informing manager, assisting manager to place orders
- Set up systems to protect and maintain control of operating equipment. Correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
- To ensure that all hotel property is handled with care and necessary maintenance requests are done so as to keep all areas to a high standard.
- To ensure all staff are provided with departmental training, pre-service briefings and meal breaks as set out in the Departmental Operational Manual.
- Ensure staff are competent and knowledgeable in dining menu, special offers and wine list/ cocktails and can maximise outlet sales and upsells
- Ensure conferences are set up as per BEO and run well within the property
- Deliver an amazing customer experience across all areas of Food & Beverage, from Restaurant, Executive Lounge, Bar, Conference top Room Service
- To be present at peak periods in service areas and when required for either AM or PM shifts as per rostered shifts
- Maintain weekly cleaning schedule for the restaurant to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards
- Ensure guest billing is correctly charged and cash up procedures are followed as per the guidelines during every meal period.
- Sign in/out outlet keys and pages from Security and be responsible for them during the shift period
- Cash float to be counted while of AM or PM shift, with an accurate cash drop
- Attend any other reasonable request as required by Hotel Management.
- Review roster and ensure there is enough staff coverage for the shifts. Assist the manager in making effective rosters in line with budgets
