**The Opportunity**:
Based in Hokitika, due to a recent promotion we're now looking for a new, skilled, Inventory & Compliance Coordinator with responsibility for providing support to ongoing supply chain compliance development and inventory governance at Westland. This will include ensuring that supply chain operations are carried out in a manner compliant with all relevant Health & Safety, Quality, Business Process standards and Policies, and providing support to the wider business in the areas of inventory governance, reporting, training, and control.
**More specifically this role will:

- Support the enhancement of a best practice Supply Chain and clearly deliver the implementation of continually improved quality standards in this environment.
- Represent the company in an audit environment and verify the compliance of all aspects of supply chain operations against RMP, FSSC, GMP and Internal Auditing, advising on the implementation of verifiable corrective actions in all cases of exceptions.
- Drive and deliver effective initiatives to further enhance a compliance culture in Supply Chain
- Be professionally and technically knowledgeable in the area of food safety and Risk Management Programmes and provide advice to others in this area
- Proactively work on inventory accuracy and process improvement, working closely with cross functional teams on inventory management, including slow moving stock and obsolete stock management.
- Facilitate excellent inventory governance, coordinating all associated activities including cycle counts, stock takes, reports, meetings, processes, trainings.
- Work with cross functional teams on organizing regular and annual stock takes
- Assist the Inventory and Compliance Manager with weekly and monthly reporting and inventory reviews
- Work with cross functional teams on enhancing inventory control procedures, processes, SOPs, regular reviews, and continuous improvement process.
The Inventory and Compliance Coordinator must be able to identify and implement change with a quality focus and as such, our successful applicant will ideally possess:
- A relevant background in food safety compliance and warehouse health & safety ideally gained in a large organisation. Dairy industry experience would be beneficial.
- Previous inventory compliance / control / coordination or management experience with any supply chain analyst experience also being beneficial
- Previous Audit and Risk Management experience
- Extensive Microsoft Office Suite experience, ideally with advanced Excel skills
- A dedication to best practice management processes and systems.
- Familiarity with systems implementation and improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- The ability to meet deadlines and ensure that work is completed to a high standard
- The ability to work cooperatively and proactively as part of a small team
