About the role:
The UPS Customs Broker is responsible for maintaining and developing skills relative to the clearance of goods through the Border Agencies on behalf of Fliway Air & Ocean. You will Support the process of customs clearance in International and SCS whilst working with and backing up Customs Support team members if they are away, or the team requires additional resource in maintaining KPIs, workflow and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor accurate and timely Customs/Border Agency Clearance on behalf of Fliway Air & Ocean
- Support the process of customs clearance in both international, including customs support team members in maintaining KPIs, workflow and reporting
- Provide service to all internal and external customers to the level of Fliway standards.
- Monitor of workflow and peak periods to ensure timelines are met.
- Liaison with Customs on technical issues.
- Monitor the changes within the tariff and Concession documents on behalf of our clients.
- Accurate Customs Consultancy for existing and prospective clients.
- Manage the customer contacts in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure that excellent customer service is in practise

What We Offer:

- Full time, 40 hours, Tuesday to Saturday, between 7:30am and 4:00pm in Auckland

What you Bring:

- Minimum of five years’ experience as a customs broker and sound knowledge of NZ working tariff, customs rules and regulations, customs valuation, and origin preference
- Practical experience and competent in using Cargo wise (EDI/CW1)
- Strong attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Experienced in high volume processing whilst maintaining of high standard of accuracy.
- Hold and maintain a Customs Pin, sound knowledge of NZ working tariff, customs rules and regulations, customs valuation, and origin preference.
