**About the Role**:
You will work within the People and Capability Directorate seeking to enhance the capability of the function through strategic change and continuous improvement projects. The focus will be to ensure that the Directorate's processes and procedures are efficient and effective and that stakeholders can easily engage with them.

**You will**:

- Be a skilled and competent business improvement professional with a track record of delivery in challenging environments;
- Understand the drivers of continuous business improvement and have a strong background and experience in analysing and delivering continuous improvement projects;
- Have the ability to lead cross functional teams and to coach and mentor others in the use of tools and approaches;
- Be a curious, self-motivated problem solver who is comfortable working collaboratively and able to deliver in an ambiguous environment;
- Demonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and interpersonal skills;
- Hold a recognized relevant qualification in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen or an equivalent methodology.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
