Reporting to the Delivery Manager
- Construction and Scheduling, as a **Scada Communication and Fibre Technician**, you will be responsible for the technical works and delivery of safely, positively, effectively, and efficiently. You will also provide technical support, scoping and planning assistance for all works as required in Communications, Fibre & Scada Systems and be working with our key Distribution, Transmission and Generation clients in the Central contracting region.

Based on the Hamilton and Rotorua Central area regional depots you will also:

To be considered for this new role you’ll need to be an experienced Fibre Technician with familiarity in the NZ Telecommunications industry. You’ll have the flexibility to work after hours on short notice to get the job done.You will need to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant trade qualification(s) as required (Diploma or NZCE or equivalent)
- Preferred current Practising Licence as an Electrician or Service Technician with an EWRB registration
- Knowledge of relevant Codes of Practice, Policies, Standards, Work Procedures, Legislative requirements, and the relevant Parts of the Safe Manual - Electricity Industry (SE-MI)
- Current Workplace Competency (WTC)’s as required by the role
- A clean, full NZ Driver’s licence
- Demonstrated technical experience in NZ Telecommunications, Fibre & Scada Systems
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to deliver a high standard of technical service maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality standards always
- Strong customer focus (internal and external)
