We have an exciting opportunity for an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist to join our team at Christchurch Women’s Hospital. This is a fixed-term parental leave cover, ideal for a passionate SMO who thrives in a busy tertiary setting and enjoys working across a broad generalist scope. **Starting June 2025 to July 2026.**
Enjoy living and working in the heart of Canterbury while contributing to the health and wellbeing of people from across the South Island. You’ll work with a dynamic team, with opportunities to develop your skills in areas such as ambulatory gynaecology, high-risk obstetrics, or medical education.

**About the Role**
As an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist, you will work across general Obstetrics and Gynaecology services, including:
- Antenatal, gynaecology, colposcopy, and outpatient hysteroscopy clinics
- Acute and elective gynaecology procedures
- Participation in the on-call roster
- Opportunities to contribute to service development, research, or education based on your interests and experience
This role is based in a supportive, well-established team that provides tertiary-level care to approximately 6,000 birthing women annually, as well as a broad range of gynaecological services.
