**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**
The primary purposes of this role is the delivery of effective, timely and collaborative services to our community's older adults with secondary mental health and addiction needs across Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty and consultation liaison psychiatry services to Tauranga Hospital.
This position, in partnership with clinical leadership, ensures that the quality of care delivered is high and that the team is supported in their ongoing development of services to meet the needs of those who we care for. This role also supports the development of staff and team leaders to ensure on-going service excellence and a continuous quality improvement culture.
There is a local, regional and national focus on system wide transformation of mental health and addiction services and the Service Manager will ensure that we work in collaboration and partnership with the relevant PHO, NGO, iwi, whānau, lived experience and other stakeholders to develop integrated service delivery options. There are also significant change in the Health System in general with the implementation of the Health Reforms.

- Have previous leadership and operational management experience?

- Have the ability to inspire a team and to get their buy-in to be a centre of excellence?
- Have postgraduate experience in Mental Health? (If you are a nurse you also need to have Mental Health in your Scope of Practice)?
- Have exceptional communication skills with the ability to support a team of dedicated professionals and develop strong relationships with stakeholders?
- Have a passion for utilising the individual skills and attributes of your team to create a work environment that fosters collaboration, recognition and resilience?
- Possess the skills to be present for your team when they need you?
- Want to make sure tangata whaiora/clients and their families are at the centre of care - ensuring safe and culturally effective practice is maintained?
