**The New Opportunity**:
Due to an existing employee relocating to our Auckland Branch, an exciting **full time**, **permanent** career opportunity exists for an experienced **Service Advisor** to join our busy Service team based in **Mount Manganui, Tauranga.** This role is integral to the ongoing success of Penske New Zealand and we are therefore looking for someone who has the energy to exceed and deliver results. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be the key liaison between our customers and the service technicians. You will be responsible for providing service advisory support to the Service Department and for building and maintaining relationships with customers to ensure ongoing business.
Job functions include:
- Proactive contact with workshop customers daily to accept bookings and advise of progress repairs and estimated finishing times.
- Provide accurate quotations to customers and follow up these quotations in a timely manner.
- Process invoices upon completion of workshop job orders.
- Respond to telephone queries from customers promptly and efficiently.
- Coordinate positive and acceptable resolutions to customer queries and issues.
- Provide support to the workshop staff to ensure customer service standards are consistently exceeded.
- Work closely with the workshop to ensure resource utilisation is maximised.
- Monitor the workloads of technicians to ensure repair and service timeframes can be met and productivity and efficiency targets are reached.
- In partnership with the technicians and Service Manager, manage the work in progress (WIP) to ensure increased efficiencies.
- Maximise all service and parts aftersales opportunities with a view to increase profitability.
- Role model safe working behaviours to ensure the ongoing safety of all staff within the Service Department.
**About You**:
Your core responsibility will be to maintain excellent relationships with our extensive customer database. A customer centric approach and exceeding customers' expectations will be what drives you to do the best job you can each time you accept a new job in the workshop. You will pride yourself in being a strong communicator with meticulous attention to detail. Ideally you will have previous work history as a Service Advisor in the transport industry and a strong understanding of the importance of a positive aftersales experience. A Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicles and/or a Certificate in Parts Interpreting or general knowledge of the automotive/ heavy transport industry would be an advantage. Those with equivalent qualification/ industry training and/or experience are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate competence in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook/Word/Excel) and you will have the confidence to work unsupervised and multi-task in a fast-changing environment.
