We are looking for an experienced Principal Advisor to join our Credit Branch. This is a permanent role based in either Auckland or Wellington.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
Reporting to the Engagement and Operations Manager you will provide technical expertise and thought leadership to support the Credit teams with external engagement, law reform, reporting to division and SLT and consumer credit and operational policy.
You will be responsible for leading the operational function for the Commission's input into the Council of Financial Regulators stream and provide thought leadership into the delivery of law reform.

As a valued business partner, you will be sought out for your expert technical advice and thought leadership. A strong communicator, you will share this knowledge with your team, the wider commission and external stakeholders. Seen as a role model for connecting, collaborating, and fostering effective working relationships across the Commission and externally, you will have strong relationship management and delivering skills and be experienced in project management.
Used to working in a team environment, you'll be proactive and solutions-focused and be able to think, write and communicate clearly. You will be inquisitive with sound critical thinking skills and be comfortable presenting to stakeholders at all levels. You will be a team player who thrives in a high paced work environment where your innovative approaches will be supported.
