You will need to be eligible for a practising certificate and interested in criminal law.

This role would suit civil lawyers looking for a change, or those with previous experience as a registrar, police prosecutor, working for a barrister, community law centre, government department etc.

You will find challenge and satisfaction with a varied caseload, including trials and appearances. To be successful you must:

- Be passionate about criminal justice issues.
- Be qualified to practice law in New Zealand.

As an important member of a close-knit team you will enjoy exchanging ideas and brainstorming. You will have empathy and the ability to relate to a wide range of people. **Utu ā-tau/Salary**

The appointing salary for this role will be between $65,015 and $89,934 based on skills and experience.
