We want to hear from experienced Senior and Principal Analyststo fill roles in ourStrategy and Innovation team, in our Strategy and Policy Group.

Our Strategy and Innovation team explores and sharesinnovative,evidence driven approaches that have potential to enhance the future performance of public services for New Zealanders. We delivered the reforms to the Public Service Act 2020, and now we are supporting their implementation across government agencies.

Your role would include engaging with public service agencies in other jurisdictions to identify international innovations and trends in public administrationand undertaking research to inform policy analysis and advice in this area.

We have a strong focus on professional development and pride ourselves on having a supportive and collegial team culture.We are committed to developing excellent policy, strategy, research and information management skills, and maintaining a reputation for delivering first class advice to the Government of the day.

**The experience, knowledge and skills we are looking for are**:
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience in a policy role (4+ years),

Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to present complex matters simply,

Experience of the government environment and ability to navigate complex policy issues to provide the best advice and solutions for Ministers, and

Strong influencing skills, able to build momentum and support for new ideas and ways of working.

For a senior analyst we usually pay between $99,200 and $116,700, depending on skills and experience.

For a principal analyst we usually pay between $122,380 to $150,940, depending on skills and experience.
