Carpenters Assistant

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a Carpenters Assistant, you’ll be working alongside our team on projects in and around the Waikatoregion, producing high quality foundation pads and structures.

You will have:

- Prior experience with construction even if just a few months (preferably in concrete placing, steel fixing, and general construction support)
- A commitment to health and safety

Job duties include:

- Constructing formwork, falsework and other timber structures
- Operating items of small plant and machinery on which you have been deemed competent
- Manual labour including lifting, carrying and shovelling
- Assisting all other trades on site to allow tasks to be completed as efficiently as possible
- Spotting plant and machinery
- Placing concrete
- Steel fixing
- Collecting and/or delivering materials
- Site cleaning duties and general housekeeping

This is a 'hands on role', where you'll be able to utilise your prior experience in the building industry. Ordinary days of work are Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00am and 5:30pm. Minimum guaranteed hours are 40 hours per week.

**Salary**: $29.66 - $32.00 per hour
