**Where you’ll be working**:Property & Infrastructure, Waikato Hospital
**The details**:Permanent Full time - 80 Hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) - Rostered
**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
You will be leading a team of four Carpenters and two Plumbers managing maintenance throughout Waikato hospital, Matariki and Rhoda Read campuses. You and your team will together with all of the Property & Infrastructure group deliver engineering services to all of Health New Zealand, Waikato District.

As part of the Property & Infrastructure team you will assist in delivering engineering services to Health New Zealand Waikato District to ensure critical and essential services are maintained at all times. **Mōu | About you**
Required skills & experience you will need to be consider for this role:
Mandatory:
- Relevant Trade Certificate / Diploma
- Experience in managing, monitoring and repair of plumbing and carpentry infrastructure preferably associated with large health care facilities
- Current NZ Drivers Licence (Full)
Desirable:
- Advanced Trade Certificate
- Relevant Tertiary level Technical or Business qualification.
- Confined Space Entry
- Work at Height
- Permit to Work
- CIMS Level 4
**Experience**
Essential:
- Experience managing trades and contractor staff and the ability to deal with the many and varied issues that arise in that context.
- Intermediate level of understanding in regards to the Health and Safety Act (2015)
- Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with all the trades utilised in a hospital environment
- Understanding of the systems that underpin effective and prompt maintenance, fixing and enhancement of equipment, buildings and infrastructure in a demanding operational environment
- Familiarity with Building Maintenance Systems
- Project Management experience conception to delivery
