**Starting salary**:$ 96,307 to $ 113,303 + Superannuation**

**The role | Te**tūnga**

This fixed term role will support Stats NZ’s continued work relating to Social Investment and the Integrated Data Infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

- Collect information needs and data requirements from teams across Stats NZ
- Negotiate requirements between data suppliers and Stats NZ, with a focus on feasibility, viability, desirability, legality, and ethics
- Oversee, govern, capture, and validate information about data and data quality
- Coordinate data acquisition as part of Stats NZ’s work on Social Investment and the Integrated Data Infrastructure
- Work closely with Stats NZ’s legal, privacy and data security teams

**What you bring |**Nōu**te**rourou**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- In-depth understanding of data and data quality
- 3-5 years’ experience in data sourcing or contract management
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience turning technical data requirements into contracts
- The ability to adapt and deal with ambiguity
- Attention to detail
- Experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder/customer relationships
- Demonstrated customer centricity.
- Demonstrated advocacy for, or support of, diversity and inclusion.
- Familiarity or commitment to developing understanding of Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo, Te Ao Māori
