Geotechnical Resource Coordinator: 6 Months Fixed

Tonkin + Taylor (T+T) is a leading environmental and engineering consultancy in New Zealand, offering a broad range of services to clients across various sectors.
We are currently on the hunt for a Resource Coordinator to support our Geotechnical team on a fixed term basis. This role is all about engaging with our people and helping to keep the quality of data in our system (Deltek Vantagepoint) high, working with a great bunch of technical experts. We are open to this role being full time or part time, including school hours or 3-4 days a week.
**About the role**:
- Liaise with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities
- Track and monitor staff availability, forward work planning and work assignment to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
- Develop and maintain resource planning tools and systems to support efficient project resourcing
- Work with other teams within T+T to ensure that resource allocation is coordinated across the business
- Provide administrative support as needed
- Maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders; engineers, geologists and support staff
- Monitor resource utilisation and identify opportunities for optimisation
- Provide regular reporting on resource utilisation and project status.
**We are looking for someone with**:
- A proactive approach, who likes to take initiative
- Some experience in a resource planning or project coordination role, preferably within a consulting environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Experience with Vantagepoint is desirable but not essential
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others
- Supportive mindset - someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in
- Confidence to use judgement and make appropriate decisions
- Business acumen.
