**About the role**
Due to continued growth of our Wellington location, we are seeking a passionate Engineer to join our Maritime team. Working with a group of local and regional maritime experts you will be mentored in the design and delivery of the full spectrum of maritime engineering consulting services. You will have the opportunity to work on a new large multi disciplinary maritime infrastructure project as well as a number of other national projects across Australasia.

**What will I do?**
- You will undertake maritime design and analysis for a range of projects, including but not limited to marine facilities and maritime structures. This will include design calculations, drawings, specifications and reports under senior engineer supervision.
- You will be required to assist in structural inspection of maritime facilities and structures and produce inspection reports.
- You will be responsible, under supervision of a senior engineer, for work packages that are allocated to you as part of projects, proposals and/or other packages in line with the development of the Maritime team.
- You will be required to work with an optimum level of supervision in your area of responsibility, and you may be accountable for defined parts of design projects;
- You will be responsible for maintaining good working relationships with internal clients, sub-consultants and sub-contractors.

**What will I bring?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar area;
- Relevant industry experience in Maritime or Civil Structural Engineering within a consulting business environment;
- Eligibility for Chartership with Engineering NZ (or equivalent)
- Effective written communication and report writing skills;
- Ability to maintain personal effectiveness particularly during periods of higher than normal workload;
- Ability to remain positively motivated and foster team spirit at times of significant pressure, including assisting others to meet deadlines;
