**Graduate Programme Technician/Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS)**:
**Firstly, a bit about us**
Airways provides air traffic management services across 30 million square kilometres - this is one of the largest areas of airspace in the world. Within New Zealand, we operate aerodrome control services and flight information services in 19 locations throughout the country.
First and foremost, we enable air traffic management, keeping travellers safe in the skies. Beyond this, the smart technologies we employ bring a real difference to our airline and airport customers.
**The focus of this team**:
The Technology Group is responsible for the effective delivery, management and servicing of all technology disciplines within the air navigation services environment - engineering design, software design and development, technology architecture and infrastructure, asset management, installation and maintenance, technical training, workload planning, maintenance program development, project management, and logistics support.
**The role and experience**:
We are looking for Engineering Graduates to join our Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch teams.
To be the successful applicant you will hold a formal qualification in Engineering (BE, BEngTech, Diploma or equivalent) and have, or be prepared to get, your Electrical Services Technician practising licence.
Over two years, Airways’ team of Technical Instructors will train you to become an Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) Technician using on the job, and off job training. You will learn how to maintain the functionality of both airfield and off-airfield operational systems by assisting with fault rectification, assisting with preventative maintenance, and assisting with installation of equipment. At the end of successfully completing the programme you will become a qualified CNS Technician for the aviation industry.
You will be fit, highly motivated, technically competent and show a willingness to learn ANSP and CNS discipline specialities. As a collaborative team member, you will be comfortable giving and receiving feedback while you are learning and working to training and assessment deadlines.
**Our Values**:
Airways is committed to reflecting the diversity of Aotearoa and creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace where people feel they belong and can be their authentic self at work. To achieve this, we are working hard to gain our Rainbow Tick Accreditation to ensure Airways is a safe and welcoming workplace for all employees.
**What’s next?**
Please note that you must be eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered. The successful applicant will be required to complete psychometric testing, undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, a criminal conviction check and reference checks.- Share
