**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
Our Strategic Consultations Team, who are responsible for helping the public provide feedback on AT projects, are recruiting a talented **Consultations and Engagement Lead.** This role is part of an integrated structure and team that is driving new approaches in public engagement.
**This role will play key part in developing and delivering**:
- Innovative engagement methodologies, establishing best practice and leading design and delivery of public engagement and consultation processes;
- Project consultation communication and engagement plans, managing public engagements promoting and responding to public interest;
- Meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders and communities of place and interest;
- Analysis, summarising feedback and producing reports received from the public and stakeholders on AT projects;
- Working with project managers and internal stakeholders to understand and respond to public and stakeholder feedback on AT projects;
- Continuously learning and developing your knowledge base - gaining an in-depth understanding of best practice consultation processes.

**To be considered for this role you will ideally have**:
- Relevant experience in engagement and communications, stakeholder management, with an understanding of consultation requirements desirable;
- Proven experience analysing and summarising information, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, preferably consultation feedback surveys and workshops;
- Ability to work well in a team, agile and alliance environments and understand internal and external stakeholder considerations;
- Experience using MS Office Suite, survey instruments such as: Survey Monkey and Qualtrics, Stakeholder Management and online collaboration and engagement tools;
- An understanding of the workings and functions of local government;
- A tertiary qualification in a related discipline: consultation and engagement, communications, and/or a Certificate in IAP2;
- Results focused with demonstrated use of initiative, proactive problem solving and a 'can do' attitude;
- Sound written communication expertise in all mediums and channels, including attention to detail and accuracy.
Needless to say - you will also have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working within a complex, political and fast changing environment.
