The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering currently has academic programmes in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with strong interests in Power, Telecommunications, Control, and Electronic/Embedded System Engineering. As one of four departments within the School, the department also provides service teaching in Mechatronics and Software Engineering. The School currently has over 3000 equivalent full-time students and about 150 permanent academic staff with approximately 200 PhD students.
This position involves conducting high-quality research, teaching and developing academic programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A successful applicant will be expected to contribute to research and postgraduate supervision in one or more of the above-mentioned areas through her/his specialist field and take a leading role in service teaching.
**He kōrero mōu | About you**
- A doctorate in electrical engineering
- One or more years of postdoc experience in academia and/or industry in relevant areas
- Sound knowledge in power systems
- Ability to work collaboratively within a university-based environment
- High degree of professional integrity

**Salary Range**: $89,000 - $105,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
