- ** About the Role**

We have permanent part-time opportunities for Health Care Assistants to join our dedicated team in the Children's Ward4A - Tauranga hospital, working up to 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week). Please indicate in your cover letter how many hours you wish to be considered for.

This role is your chance to be part of a service that provides compassionate, family-centred care in a warm, supportive environment. You will work with the guidance of experienced Registered Nurses to assist with the everyday needs of tamariki and their whānau - making a meaningful impact during some of the most important moments of their lives.

This Children's Ward includes a 22-bed inpatient unit, a 4-bed Child Assessment Unit, and a 4-bed Day Stay Unit. Every shift brings variety, purpose, and the opportunity to support young patients and their families with dignity and care.

Our paediatric team is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children / adolescents and their whānau. We believe in delivering care that is responsive, respectful, and centred around each family's unique needs. **What you will bring**:

- Minimum Level 3 NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or childcare setting is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to culturally safe, family-centred care.
- A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing team.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as rostered including afternoons and nights.
