**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**

The Tauranga Hospital Transit Lounge (T/L) are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join their team. The T/L has a vital role, supporting the safe discharge of patients and patient flow at Tauranga Hospital. The Transit Lounge staff are an experienced team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants.

The HCA role is to assist the Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse in delivering a high standard of nursing care to patients in the Transit Lounge. This position involves working under the direction of nursing teams who are committed to delivering comprehensive, quality care to patients. We also offer a variety of educational opportunities.

**He korero mōu - About You**

Preferred applicants will have a certificate in Health Care Assistance Level 4 (or other relevant qualification) and have current experience working as an HCA in a health care setting or in a related health care service. You must also be entitled to work in New Zealand.

The hours are 0845-1715hrs Monday to Friday.
