About the role
The Radiology
Services at Canterbury DHB provides patient centred care across multiple sites.
We are a hardworking team who use professional knowledge and skills to ensure
the provision of quality patient-centred radiographic imaging services.
We currently
have a full-time 24 hours per week (0.6FTE), fixed-term opportunity covering parental leave for
approximately 12months for a Senior Medical Imaging
Technologist
Our busy
tertiary hospital setting will offer you the challenge of performing a wide
range of procedures involving acute, planned, inpatient, and outpatient
workloads. You'll coordinate workloads and liaise with clinical and
support staff.

In this role,

**you will be responsible for**:

- Managing daily, weekly workload across multiple CT

scanning platforms;
- Meeting patient needs within agreed triaged referral
timeframes;
- Assisting the CT Team Leader for the operation of the
CT scanner and associated equipment.Your skills will

**include**:

- Being a team player with excellent communication, time

management and organisational skills;
- The ability to use leadership skills to mentor fellow
colleagues within the CT team;
- Previous experience in CT, preferably on multiple
vendor platforms;
- NZ Registration as a Medical Imaging Technologist with
the Medical Radiation Technologists Board is essential.You will work in
a fast paced environment with a caring team. We are looking for an
enthusiastic, energetic and flexible person who is up for the challenge
within our dynamic service in the Radiology services. You will be required to
participate in a 24/7 rostered service including on call.
