We are looking for responsible Courier Drivers to run our Courier Vans located in Palmerston North. A normal working day starts at 4am every morning. You must be available on weekends when required as per the business requirements from time to time.

You must have a clean Driver’s license and agree for a pre-employment drug test. No formal qualification or experience is required. However relevant experience will be an advantage.

We pay market leading pay rates **$27 to $30** depending upon experience. Minimum guaranteed hours per week will be thirty. However you can grab more hours up to forty depending upon your performance.

Key objective of the role is to ensure the sorting pickup and delivery of all freight (Shorthaul Local & National) is in accordance with company policy and procedures.

**As a Courier driver you are required to perform the following task and duties but not limited to:

- To unload sort and load freight received in the depot as required
- To carry out pickups and deliveries to and from customers as per the timetable requirements or as directed by the staff to the residential and business areas
- To scan all freight in accordance with the policies and procedures
- To manage acknowledge and collect all requests for Adhoc freight collections in accordance with company Procedures
- To complete the appropriate run sheets and documentation as required
- To ensure the sale of courier labels and satchels to customers is in accordance with company policies and procedures
- To regularly wash and maintain the motor vehicle which will be provided. Any damage to the vehicle must be reported to the Director.
- To ensure that customers are satisfied with the services and listen to their complaints if any
- To undertake training as and when provided by Management.
- Undertake other tasks as directed by the Director from time to time

**To be successful in this role**:

- Be fit healthy and agile. This is a physical position involving a lot of getting in and out of a van running round and heavy lifting (up to 25 kg). For this reason you must be physically capable and then able to sustain this over an up to 10-12 hour day.
- Have a full and clean valid NZ/overseas equivalent driver's licence and be able/licensed to drive a manual vehicle.
- Able to pass a drug test
- A clean criminal record
- Good communication skills
- Be friendly with professional attitude
- Careful driving
- Good time management
